Can I eat the eggs still if a hen was sitting on them for 2 days?

    She gave up and left, hungry or bored. But she was on 6 eggs, (babysitting her sisters' eggs) Can I still cook them up and eat them?

    I don't see why not.....2 days shouldn't be a problem. When you're going to use them crack them into a separate bowl and see if they seem "normal".

    1-2 days is fine, but over 3 days and I toss them.

    Are these eggs all the same age is a better question? Did you just put them under her because she was broody or are they say a clutch of 7 so she has been laying 1 a day for 7 days and now has been sitting on them for 2 bringing you up to the older ones being 9 days old and she might have been on and off them. Idk if id eat them if that was the case you could though just crack them into a bowl or a glass if you really want to eat them. For the sake of im gonna say a dozen eggs id just throw them back to the birds.
