Can I enter my chicken in a 4H show even if I don't attend 4-H?

So I want to enter my bird in a 4H chicken show, I don't know if I can though. I don't attend 4-H anymore and I really want to enter my bird in a show. Can anybody help me out with this? I don't know what to do.

Sometimes you can show at fairs if you're under a certain age and you are a member of another recognized youth group, such as FFA or possibly Boy/Girl Scouts, various national/local livestock associations, etc. However, at least where I am, if you're not a member of some type of youth group recognized by the fair or club hosting the 4-H show, you can't show.
