We’ve found that some things we try to give them will be ignored, or we get the stink eye for even putting it in the yard. Whereas other things that other chicken people say their hens won’t touch, ours will tear it up and scream for more.
Our chickens love any cooked beans, mixed with cooked rice( we get brown rice for them, we don’t like it but the hens love it). Also pumpkin, squashes, and watermelon , but not cantaloupe.
