Can I feed a vanilla bean to my girls?

As I suspected after Googling myself, there is nothing wrong with giving them the vanilla bean. It is not toxic but should only be given as a treat. Considering you aren't adding this into their diet long-term, there's no reason you can't let them have some if you want to do so.

I agree! I've looked into it more myself and they have antioxidants as well. I figure once in a blue moon when I have a used, left over vanilla bean, it won't hurt to chop it up and put it in their fermented feed. :D
