can I feed meat birds scrap food?

Can I feed meat birds scrap food and how old do they need to be before I start? Thanks!

I did, with no ill effects. I started when they were outside. They ate lots of pasta, watermelon, and veggies.

Yes- there's a list on here somewhere of the table scrap type foods that are bad for chickens.

ive tried to toss them gooddies... things the layers go nuts over..... they dont seem to pay it much mind.... then i move the pen the next day to new grass and the layers are there pecking up the leftovers that the nuggets refused to eat.

Yeah mine were never interested in anything other than the feed trough.
