Can I Feed Quail Breeders Crushed Chicken Egg Shells?

I always thought you could....but I'm a newbie too! I thought you needed to bake the egg shells, crush and then give them to the birds.
I have had more problems baking the shells to give the chickens than just crushing them, waiting a few days for them to dry, them giving it to them. Baking the shells takes out all the "good" stuff they need (and the reason you are doing it in the first place)

I also give chicken shell, I hardboil, pestle grind and dry for a day or two.
also...don’t know if recommended, but after hard boiling the quail eggs I sometimes toss the eggshell back into the quail feed along with the chicken shell:oops:
