I have left over shredded dry beet pulp that I normally add to my horse feed but would like to know if I can feed it to my chickens? I wouldsoak it in water first if I can give it to them.

I'm not sure of the texture of beet pulp, but I would be a little concerned that it might build up in their crops and cause problems.

Ive given my hens the beet and carrot pulp from the juicer, they loved it and are perfectly fine and healthy. It made their poop a little purple for less than 24 hours.

I have used both shredded & pelleted for my horses, so I would really soak it. I'd go easy on on it, because I THINK it has molasses added to it, which can give them the squirts if they consume too much. I've been thinking of trying it, too, to give a little extra H20 in the heat. Let us know how it goes. Do you ride endurance by any chance?
