Can I file his beak??

My turkey Tom is biting me to the point of bloodshed , and I was wondering if I can file his beak back to a round shape instead of a square ? The top is a sharp square with a chip in it, and the bottom is round. Can I file the top round or will it hurt him?

It wouldn't hurt to smooth it off some, but not too much.

Clipping or filing it to about here will be good I think.

It’s already pretty round, for a turkey beak. Shortening it and then smoothing it down with a file should make it less sharp.
If he does peck you, just try pushing him away or keeping your hands out of reach.

Ok! Thank you! He went to peck my head off of his roosting bar while I was replacing the water so I put my hand out to block him and he took a Chunk out of my hand
