my chick is just over a week old now and has some wing feathers coming in...I was wondering if could get some idea of it's adult colouring and maybe a comparison photo or two

Way too young to guarantee anything, as the wing feathers are only just starting to come in. What I can say is that the white you are seeing is resulting from Silver rather than Dominant or Recessive White. Do you have any idea who the possible parents may be?

no sorry....this chick is the result of a rather failed attempt at incubating a set of 6 eggs bought from Ebay....and this was the only one that survived...there were 3 developed eggs and only this one hatched out

Ah, may have to wait and see then. Shouldn't be too long until you start to see the rest of the feathers come in, then you'll get a better estimate. I would expect something towards a silver-quail, but no guarantees there.

Sorry your hatch went poorly; I try to avoid eBay and go for breeders where you can actually discuss how they package the eggs and the conditions in which the parent birds are housed; local is always best, but there's always the 'buy-and-sell' websites too, which I prefer to eBay for the more personal service. Good luck next time round. I hope this little one does well, and I'm sure s/he'll grow up lovely regardless of plumage.

oh I should of put something down in my inital post...it completely slipped my mind

this is a Serama chicken chick

When I say quail, I mean the colour; I am aware that this is a little chicken we are seeing. Quail is sort of like a clean base-colour undercarriage, in this case silver (white), with some patterning down the back and in the wings. Barbu d'Anvers are commonly found in Quail, if you would like to see how the colouring looks.

I would love to see some examples!

my chick is growing nicely as well by the way. it's tail feathers are coming in nicely and it's wings have mostly feathered out now.

Here's a picture of some Silver Quail d'Anvers , I would expect that your chick will grow to have similar patterning, but less of a neat separation between the dark areas and the light. Feel free to share pictures as s/he grows; would love to see how s/he turns out.
