Can i get my chickens to enjoy being held?

I had 5 Quail D'Anvers (3 went back to their owners yesterday

) and they all got used to me picking them up, petting them, talking to them that every time I opened the brooder, they would fly onto my arms and shoulders. I swear, one of them, Gazpacho (a roo) would wait until he was on my shoulder to poop! It was like he was holding it in and storing it up for me!

Not just one poop either, there would be a few! It was pretty stinky too!

I was thinking of wearing one of those nurse's smocks next time I open the brooder up, so I don't have to change my clothes so often!!! How do others handle this?

Will they outgrow it when they get older?

Individuals are always going to be individuals. Maybe she had some trauma associated with humans.
Move slowly and stoop when near them. They're very wary of danger from above.
