I was wondering how often to put it in the water and if helps prevent Cocci. Should I use that with my remaining chicks before using Corid if a chick has possibly died from Cocci? I know that deaths are evident from time to time. But my smallest died yesterday and last night my Fav Easter Egger. I'm devastated and don't want to lose any more. Please give me some advice. They are in a plastic tote and I clean it daily, give them fresh water and feed.

acv won't replace corid but I give it to mine for good gut health. I use it one week every month .don't use a metal container with it.I also use probotics in the water.I use about a capful acv to one gallon water. you don't want to give too often because of acidity. powered probotics are another wonderful thing to give. they replace bad bacteria with good bacteria and promote good gut health and can actually fight bad bacteria if the good bacteria is in place first. I use probios and some I got from first state vet.feed store also carries it.I believe rooster booster brand. they have lactobacillus acidophilus and other great bacteria that are live. I use it quite often and rotate between the probios; vita pro B; and ACV. it really helps with the gut is upset too! all those things are good to give. just rotate. I read its best to do the ACV for a week a month due to the acidity so that's what I do. take a look at probios website and look up probios for chickens and see what you think. if not probios get some powered pro biotic I think it will help along with rotating the ACV and perhaps a water soluble vitamin. hope this is helpful. best of luck.
