Can I give chicks and keets the same feed?

Normal guineas will not start laying until the spring of the year after they were hatched. At the latitude where you are located your 4 month old guineas should not start laying until next April. It has nothing to do with how old they actually are.

I did read they'll start laying at the age of 20 weeks.

What they can do and what they naturally do are not necessarily one and the same thing. When they start to lay is not the same in Texas as it is in Michiigan due to their diurnal clock.

Breeding season can last all the way upto October, & my Guinea cock has been certainly on the rowdy side at the starting of April, & he's still chasing the other birds around. I'll update next month if I do start getting eggs from them.

in my área i can’t find the 28% protein feed. Will this one do? For both chicks and keets? And 1 month old poults? I would like to use one type of feed for all.

Hi. Thank you for your help! I want to clarify: I already have guinea hens and layers and two roosters separate that are providing the eggs for family and I sell some of the extra dozens. They are happy guys that free range all day and come home to roost.
These babies are 2nd and 3rd generation that are for processing. The keets and chicks will be processed at the appropriate time to their breed. The two broody hens hatched them and are taking care of them. All natural and free range. While young they are in different enclosures until at least a month so as not to loose any of the babies in the wild.
I am just very overwhelmed with the different feeds at different ages for different breeds. Since I run, a mixed flock. I also have poults. I am trying to figure out if just one type of feed can be used for all of them when small.

I got this for my keets, after doing some research.
I had been using Manna Pro's gamebird starter and DuMor's 24% chick starter, but the Mazuri stuff is objectively better.

Yes. But because of the Covid 19 I can’t find most brands in my area. The highest protein I can find is this brand 24%.

I use Dumor 24% gamebird/Chick grower starter feed for both baby chickens, Guineas, & turkeys.

That’s my answer. I have to do with what I can get in the area. That’s it.

No, it will not hurt the hens. When the hens are ready to lay eggs again they will also need a source of calcium--like oyster shell in a separate dish.
