Can i give him a bath?

My neurologic wobbly head duck hasn't been able to clean himself during all this. Hes extremely dirty. I've tried putting him in shallow water and rinsing him off but can I actually bathe him? Maybe with some dawn? I'm not sure how long it will take for him to feel better and be able to stand and clean himself.

It's so hot and humid today and I don't think theyll be able to go outside much. I feel bad keeping them inside

If you use dawn it will strip any oils off his feathers. Or isn’t he water proof?

Oh shoot. Yes he's been swimming for a while now. How do I clean him?

If he just gets into water that should help. It may not take all the dirt off but it should help him feel better. Dawn dish detergent is what they use to take oil off of birds when they get caught in an oil slick. I can’t use it it is so strong it dries my skin out
