Can I give leftover beans to chickens?

I don't see anything wrong with fart. Big deal. Do people on these boards realize that all the mean and hateful things they write about others can be seen? What I think is wrong is when people are on these boards call each other liars and just downright mean. Not saying you do that. I was just trying to make a point.

Fart is fine lovemychix. Don't worry about it. Besides if the Mod. Gods that be thought it was bad it would be automatically changed to a more polite word; like when you try to type poop (a 4 letter word) and it comes out poop.
I think bwebb was just teasin' anyhow.

okay everyone ~ please don't laugh me out of here. I had a blue fronted amazon parrot several years ago, and the pet store told me not to give him cabbage or other gas producing foods, because birds can't "fart"? Has anyone heard of anything like that, ever? Obviously you all have given your birds beans with no problems? My hens are little hogs and will be happy if you say beans are ok

I guess the chickies will get some beans today. Hubby has had enough!!! I was seriously concerned because I didn't know if they could digest them very well. I'll also try to use the correct term "flatulence" for fart next time.

What's the harm of a little chicken fart??

franklyfrancki, they can definitely fart, and sometimes you can hear it. Talk about a chucklefest.
I fed mine black eyed peas yesterday afternoon. When I went out to put them up for the night, it was a total stink-out. Of course, there were some mustard greens too, not known for their digestibility.

Mjsdhs said it may warm the coop....

Maybe we have discovered how to warm the coop in a environmentally freindly way!!
