Can I have chickens in Mendon, MA?

Hello everyone, we are moving to Mendon, MA from New Hampshire. I have called the town clerks office, public health and safety offices, etc and NO one can tell me what the rules are for having chickens in Mendon. We have 1.16 acres in a wooded subdivision. I am hoping someone here can help me
