I was wondering if it was ok to keep only one Nigerian dwarf goat as a pet, I have limited property so having two would be a stretch, is there another animal that I can use as a companion animal for it instead? Also is it ok to have them housed fully inside a spacious barn with mesh windows for ventilation and sun if I take it on daily walks? It would be a pet because I am allergic to dogs and cats and I love farm animals. Thx

Keeping just one goat is a very very bad idea. Goats need another goat. If you don't have room for two, (and really two Nigerians don't need much more space than one) it would be kinder to just not have any. Sorry.

Don't be sorry, I was just looking for an honest answer. I will try my best to make two work!

Honestly, if you think you have the space for one goat you probably have the space for two. Goats require much less the space people think. 2 goats will happily exist in a 30 x 30 pen. My goats get about 1/10 of an acre for the 5 of them. They probably spend 90% of their time in the front 1/3 of the pen. They really dont use it all.

Hope it works out for you! :)
