Can I help it out?

I have some eggs in the bator and this morning one of the eggs was peeping and quivering. It's now been 5+ hours and there is no progress. In my last hatch the same thing happened, I could hear one of the eggs peeping and it was quivering, but it never hatched. When we opened up the eggs after we knew they weren't going to hatch we found that it had gotten it's beak through into the air sac, but had not pipped

I feel like I could have done something and I don't want it to happen again. If there any way that I can help this chick to get out? I really don't want to loose it because I don't know what to do.

I know generally you leave the eggs alone, but is there a safe way to help a chick pip?

I would still wait. The other eggs will need all the humidy so they don't get shrink wrapped.

I have eggs take days after they pipped to hatch.

Sit on you hands.
