can I house 2 roosters in the same pen ?

I was getting worried about having more than one rooster. I bought 8 chickens, 1 I knew was a rooster, the babies we had no clue. One turned out to be a rooster, he is very pretty, but he is a little brat. I have a large indoor coop, inside the barn and my husband built an outside one as we are close to a road that is unmarked and they fly through it. At any rate I have no trouble getting them to walk with me out to the outside coop. Until this little monster rooster starting growing up. The older rooster literally had to come out of the cage and chase him in it for me, I was running around the cage like an idiot. The older rooster must have taken some pity on me and helped me out. So it appears he has this rooster in check for now.

We have 2 white leghorns, 4 1/2 months old. Have been together since beginning and They are separated from our 6 hens. Both roos recently started crowing and today we noticed one roo bullying the other. Literally fighting. What should we do? Definitely don't one one to kill the other. Help!

I have 2 roosters in the same coop with my hens...I have not had a problem..they grew up together and they have their little pecking order going...So in my case everything is fine. The one rooster does keep the other in his place, but he also protects the other rooster along with the hens. The other rooster also is protective of the hens and they seem to have worked it all out.

I feel you, I also chase the rooster around..and the other helps me sometimes....other times he gets protective of me chasing the rooster and attacks me...I keep the water container with me in case he does, and I block him with it. He can be a jerk if he feels I am trying to hurt one of his crew.

Last year we had our main rooster, Henry, who was a bantam RIR. Several hens went broody and two of the chicks ended up being Roos. One was a HUGE Barred Rock, named Rocky. The other was a beautiful black something we named Black Jack. Henry was always the boss even though he was tiny in comparison. He chased the other two round and round. BJ was second in command even though he was still smaller than Rocky. For months poor Rocky was bullied terribly. One morning he woke up and decided he had had enough. We found pieces of BJ spread around the outside of the coop. Henry was hiding under my son's car, near death when we rescued him. Rocky tried to attack him again while my wife was cradling Henry in her arms. Rocky died a quick and painless death.
Henry lived on to survive a snake attack a couple months later. He was blind for a month but eventually my wife was able to nurse him back to health. He was by far my favorite rooster ever. Unfortunately he was eventually killed trying to protect his ladies from a dog.

Right now I have 11 two-month old roos and only a half dozen pullets also two-months old but I will probably separate the girls from most (if not all) the boys in a couple of months and then butcher the boys around November. In the past I had around 60 chickens with 4 roosters. They were all game chickens. The top-dog was a beautiful old boy that would chase the other boys down and pluck their long tail feathers whenever he saw one of them mount a hen, but otherwise they got along fine. The hens on the other hand were constantly fighting (lol) and he would break them up.

The black sex-link roos are spending a lot of time now posturing and occasionally chest bumping. My smallest rooster is always grabbing the others by their combs and hanging on. The other day he had two cornered and taking turns grabbing their combs and trying to spur them. I think it probably depends on their temperament. I have one little cochin pullet that attacks me every I feed and water her.

The roos I have were raised together and do very well together. They only squabble if the other roo is sighted mating. But they just run the other one off and continue where the other one left off....poor hens.
