I have 9 bantams (which will soon be 4 or 5 because I can’t keep the roosters). They are still inside in the brooder and will be 5 weeks old on Wednesday. There are 2 silkies and a cream legbar that I am thinking about getting that are a year old. Is it safe (for biosecurity and physical safety of the smaller ones) to integrate them together? I do not have an existing flock, just the young ones who haven’t moved outside yet. I know generally about separating them and letting them see each other for a while before actually introducing, by how else would I go about it? Is this something I altogether shouldn’t do or is it possible? Any advice would be great!
