Hi all!
I have a sweet duck that layed fertilized eggs, yet she never went broody. There were 18 in her nest, but she never sat, so I decided I'd incubate some. Well they are hatching tonight - SO EXCITED!!! My question is- If I put them in her nest, will she accept them? My first time ever having ducks, and first time incubating. They are adorable, just wanna see if anyone has done this, and how did it turn out?
Thank you

just some insight, we had a momma hatch her ducklings, sadly she was taken by a predator, both her ducklings survived and are doing well. however, they have not been accepted by the other ducks(because of the male) the ducklings are male and female so I am sure the flock male is the reason they are not accepted. pecking order comes into play with ducks and one male can disrupt the acceptance of any other duck...male or female.
