Pittsboro, NC
Hey Y'all! Another NC neighbor here. I'm Mark, I've been lurking on the forum for a few weeks, and you seem like such nice and fun folks!

We live near Pittsboro in Chatham County in a log home in about 6 acres of woods. We have around 25 chooks: a few polish, americaunas, welsumers, dominiques, and cochins--all under the direction of a stern but sweet-natured three year old game rooster.

I grew up on a farm in Virginia, and my grandma always had chickens. I find myself trying harder and harder to return to her way of doing things as I get older.

Just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hi!".

Welcome, Mark!

I grew up on a farm in Ga and now live on our little farm in Va. In what part of Va did your grandma live?

Welcome Mark!

Always love to have new inputs into our conversations. We may not always agree with each other but we all agree to respect each other...hopefully.

Thanks for the welcomes!

MissPrissy: I grew up in Russell County in the mtns: about 40 mins from the WV, KY, TN and NC borders.

Welcome Mark we're glad you became a part of our family. We have the best people in the world on these forums. Yes we disagree at times, but we still love each other. You can't not love a fellow chicken lover. We hope you find all you're looking for in our BIG family. Wood home huh......hmmmm wonder if my hubby would miss me if I went on an adventure? That's our dream home someday! You've got the attention and envy of most of us now. We really are happy to have you with us. Don't make yourself a stranger either.

Welcome!

A lot of NC'ers around here! I think that's where I need to move! I am SO tired of CA (just getting to busy/crowded in the area I live in).
