I agree with those suggesting you call your city clerk/town hall to ask; the same place you pay your water, garbage, sewer, and local taxes to. You should be getting this information from the horse's mouth, per se, as your address might make a difference. There is no State licensing required for domestic ducks in Florida. However city or cointy ordinances often limit backyard duck-keepingI live in Florida Orlando(Orange County). My son hatched 3 little baby Peking ducks. Can I keep them in my back yard . If not, where can I send them to?

Most suburban backyard duck-keepers, like me, are breaking city ordinances. We keep our heads down, keep our neighbors sweet by sharing eggs, and hope we are not reported to code enforcement. In St Johns County, code enforcement is reactive (to complaints) and not proactive (code enforcement don't go out looking for trouble.) Which is good for me as mine are all drakes and so I don't have eggs to share. But I do let neighbors' children come and seemy ducks, one of which tolerates petting!
