Can I let my Dove take care of a pigeon egg?

Hi
My uncle has a pigeon flock, but he's renovating his pigeon coop so they're all over the house (they fly but come back, they never leave unless just to exercise or something frightens them).
My uncle doesn't want them starting a nest and hatching chicks, until his coop is finish. If he finds a nest he throws away the eggs. I found a nest with 2 eggs in it and I took 1 egg and leave the other with them, I gave the pigeon egg to my doves who recently laid eggs but after candling them about 8-11 days old, there was no sign of life so I threw away their eggs and give them the pigeon egg.
Is this Ok to do? Should I let them hatch this egg?
Let's say it hatches, they are caring for it, feeding it and its growing, getting larger than them? The baby pigeon beak will get to large to fit in the dove parents beak? I don't know how that will work out? Plus my dove cage is only big enough for dove size birds or smaller birds, not Pigeons, they're to massive and likes to climb cages, fences (from what I've seen them doing it in my uncles coop, it fits guinea fowls and peacocks, so it was huge before he broke it down to start over).
But I'm curious about this lol, but I want to know if I should continue this, or just take and break the egg?
Thanks

No, it's not ok to do. Unless the pigeons laid the eggs at the same time as the doves, which would be 8-11 days ago by your words, the incubation time would be way off. Secondly, if they hatched it they wouldn't be able to feed it enough once it gets bigger. Just a bad idea all around... toss the egg and forget about it.
