This is my first post, though I've been lurking for a while
Anyway, we've just gotten our first chicks. (Soooo excited!! They're even more fun than I imagined!) Anyway, I was wondering if you can raise Bantam and standard size chickens together? I haven't found this mentioned in any of my chicken books (maybe because it's such a stupid question that no one even addresses it!). I have about 15 EE, Wyandottes, and Dominiques, and 4 Mille Fleur bantams. So far (only a week old), they're find together, but can they stay together through adulthood? Will the big ones bully the bantams?
Also, my 4 EE are about 2 weeks older than the others (we have them in a seperate brooder). I was thinking we would put them all together when they're full grown. I know I need to kind of slowly introduce them (maybe chicken wire in between for a couple of days), but I am more concerned about them and the banties since they won't have always been together.
Thanks!
Amanda
