Can I move 2 week old chicks into playpen brooder in 50-60 degree garage?

Today my house was cooler (hale in April?!?) and the chicks were huddled under the heat side which was only 83. I like seeing them want to explore their cage more and eat/drink frequently so I actually turned the other heat lamp side on. They definitely don’t seem to be ready for the low 80s. But I will report back!

It is 77 on the other side (non heat lamp). Chicks definitely don’t want to be over there!

Always best to go by their body language and positioning to determine what works in your set up. If they're liking it under the heat, then it's working for your flock.
