Can I move the eggs?

Can I move the eggs ....from a peahen that has already been sitting? Where she decided to make a nest....there are black ants all over. When I check on her every morning ,she has black ants crawling on her. Can I move them, and will she still sit on them if I do ?

Peahens are not like chickens. If you move them, she will probably not sit on them. If I were you, I would spray they area with permethrin to kill the ants.

You can also set up sugar traps. In a jar or plastic bottle. I’d put it right next to her but make sure it’s something she can’t open. Mix borax and sugar and the ants should die in no more than two days. Mix three parts sugar with borax.

It doesn't matter as long as it's labeled for use in poultry.

It comes as a concentrate:

• 10%
• 13.3%
• 36.8%

One can also buy a pre-mixed, ready to use 5%
