Can I pick ears of corn from the stalk and give them to chickens?

We had a very pathetic corn crop this year - VERY pathetic. Stalks only reached about 4-feet high, then went brown and died. I pulled off about 8 ears of corn from them - small gross ears of corn. A few had nasty bugs in them - sort of curly fat wormy things.... and some small reddish-brown little crawling bugs. These ears are obviously no use to us - before chucking them in the compost, I wondered if the chickens would like them.

Any ideas if it's a safe thing for them?

And how about parsley? I assume it's fine - I'm about 99% sure on this one.

Thanks!

Yum! Corn and bugs.

That's a chicken fantasy meal. As a treat perfectly fine.

Imp- When should my chicken come over?

ETA parsley good too.

If you throw in some hagan-daz I'm there too.

My chickens absolutely love being tossed an ear of corn! They all go crazy!

The bugs that are on your corn will be an added treat for your chickens! Shuck it and toss it to them!

Give'm the stalk, shucks, and ear, they will do their own shuckin.

If it's a slow time around the farm, pull up a chair and watch, it's gonna be some sports going on.
