Can I put a Barred Rock chick in with a 4 month old Silkie?

I had to rehome my Silkie boy after waking the neighbors at 4a.m. - and I really don't want more than two because for now, I live in city limits... so question #1: Can ONE chicken live happily as an indoor pet / yard scratcher? ( or does she need a roommate?)
question #2: Could I pair a Barred Rock chick with my 4 month old Silkie girl?
question #3: Would the bigger of the two likely be prone to attack the smaller one at any time?

I don't know about silkies, but in other breeds, the larger bird would attack the younger one. It would be best to find a companion of similar age.
