Can I put a warm egg right away in the refrigerator?

So my hen has just layer a egg can I put in the refrigerator right away or do I have to wait for the egg to cool down.

Put it in the fridge. It will simply begin to cool just as putting warm food away in the fridge cools the food.

I doubt one warm egg is going to raise the temperature of the fridge enough to bring the balance of the food in the fridge to an unsafe zone...the ONLY concern about putting too much warm food in the fridge.

Putting it directly into the refrigerator isn't going to affect the egg's edibility.
