my babies are comming the first week of june. instead of having them in the house, can i keep them in the coop as long as i have a heat lamp in there? i would think it would be finr since it is usually pretty warm here in wisconsin. what are your thoughts on this.

Sure!

Just block off an area so they will stay in a smaller area with the heat lamp.

I have a brooder in my coop. Chicks here stay inside of 1 week and then head outdoors to the brooder. I brooded chicks in the coop all winter long here and most nights were in the 20's.

The main thing is that they stay in an area with the heat lamp and that their area is draft free.
