Can I put beads on my zip tie leg bands?

I would like to be able to tell my chicks apart from one another and my neighbors chickens, but I only have plain white zip ties. I was wondering if I could put a bead or charm like thing on the zip ties so that I could tell them apart. Does this pose any saftey issues or hurt the chicks legs?

I would think it would cause a pressure point on the leg. Maybe you could use colored permanent marker instead.

I agree, there might be a pressure point, but you can buy colored zip ties on amazon for 8 dollars a pack.
