Can i put chicken poo directly in the garden?

I was thinking till the end of Dec or mid Jan? I won't be planting till mid April- thanks!

That's what I do. My garden is my compost heap until around March. Here in MI, I can't plant until May, so it works.

Sure, most folks around here, we have a lot of production houses, layers, broilers,etc.., use it right out of the houses ,when they clean them out and put it on pastures for fertilizer, The grass really is greener on this side of the fence, but living up wind of a fresh chicken litter pasture is a good thing,

Every week we dig a trench next to the last one we dug, pour in the shavings with poop, water it down and bury it.

I've got excellent soil

I'll start planting the middle of next month
