I got some ducks from the tractor supply store last week and I got my other baby ducks in the mail this morning. They were born Monday. Can I put them in with the other ones? I don't think they are mean like chicks can be, but I wanted to be sure because they are taking their bills and nuzzling the babies with it and the babies are doing the same thing.

I often put groups together. I was hatching every week over spring / Summer ( Australia ) and have to combine groups or I would run out of room and brooders. Now that we are heading into cooler weather- I am not hatching so many- but will still set eggs two weeks apart. I may have to combine some groups but prefer not to with two weeks age difference. If I do have to combine them- I wouldnt put ducklings younger than ten days old with an older group because of the size difference. I just watch them to make sure the little ones are still getting a chance to eat- and they arent getting picked on- but generally I dont have issues..

I have been watching them and so far they seem to be getting along great. Right now they are sleeping together and it is cute because the little ones are laying on the bigger ones.
