I ordered more chicks today, and am wondering if I can put them under a hen if I get one that goes broody when the chicks come? I read you can put them under the hen in the dark, but don't know how to go about it. If I get lucky and a hen is broody when they come can I move the hen into the coop I plan to put the chicks in? I have buff orpington and sussex hens that have started to go broody ,but I took all the eggs as it is very cold yet in Mi.
