Can I put the nesting boxes on the floor of the coop?

New member here- hope I'm posting my question in the right place?

...For those with nesting boxes on the floor... What kind of litter method do you use on the coop floor. Was planning on doing deep litter but now second guessing bc will that interfere or spill into nest boxes?? This is our first experience. Nesting boxes hanging out of coop on one side- floor level. Roosting bar on back wall and opposite side wall with plans to use poop board underneath. Moving our girls out to the coop in the next week or two.
