Can I put them outside?

Ok, so i have 12 coturnix chicks, and they are 2 weeks old today. they have most of their feathers in by now, and i was wondering if i could put them outside with the other quail. It is about 90 during the day, and 70 at night. I have a sectioned of portion of the cage where the adults can see, but not touch them, and a solid dirt floor. Do you think it could work?

I think it would work fine. I just sat out 30 Coturnix that were three weeks old and the temp is dropping to lower 60’s upper 50’s and they seem to be fine. I wouldn’t release them with other adults though until they are about 5 weeks old.

If at all possible, I would wait until at least three weeks old though. Just make sure they have all their feathers to keep warm.
