Can I raise chicks with a broody hen?

I was wondering if the broody hen would just raise the chicks even if she didn't hatch them. The hen has never hatched anything out before, but I often find that she gathers up a couple eggs sits on them. Have y'all ever had a broody hen raise chicks that she didn't hatch?

I have not but my friends have had their broody hens raise orphan chicks, ducklings, goslings. They say to sneak the babies under her butt while she's setting. She'll think they're hers. Keep an eye on her to make sure she accepts them. Good luck.
