Can i remove yellow mass from chicken mouth?!!? Please helpp!!

Hello! Need some help please
I have a problem with my rooster. He was treated with metronidazole for canker, but he still has a yellow caseous mass inside his mouth. The mass has become larger and he is having trouble swallowing and is losing weight. Some of the material is slowly peeling off, but part of it is still there and seems to block his swallowing. What should I do? Can this mass be safely removed gradually, or does it need to be removed by a veterinarian?

Many people treat their own chickens and remove any yellow plaques blocking the throat and beak. It does tend to cause bleeding, so beware. Many people cull chickens with canker, since it is contagious to other chickens and birds. I have never treated it, but I don’t believe that it is ever completely cured. Do you smell a bad odor and have any pictures of the yellow gunk?
