Can I see a picture of the inside of your coop?

Two times a year. Deep Litter method with DE and scratch feed every other day(winter) keeps the litter turned over pretty well. Summer time I turn it over wth a hoe every other day or so...

We built our coop inside our shed, so we have shed/coop combo. Dont ask why we have so many nest boxes, we are new, but they use them all so it worked out

this is our first attemp. it is 8x8. this is the best idea ever and we are doing it again in the 2nd bigger coop. 90% of the poop is layed in the roost area and we take dust pan and scoop it up and dump it whenever it needs it.. the deep little floor has been there almost a year and is still really clean

the communal nest box works well.. but they seem to lay everywhere they want..

next to the nest box we installed a storage closet. unfinished here but we store feed and cleaning supplies

the feeders under the dropping board keeps them out and off it.. the water is under too. and the dropping boards are just under waist high so no bending over to clean out.. works great. and they love sitting there.. in the sunshine.. they love to look out they are sooooo nosy lol. we just take our cars ice scraper and scrape the roost when ever it needs it..

heh heh. You're funny.

Nope - I clean my coop in the late April and October. It must be the paint.

Actually, they've been cooped up inside the coop now for the last 5 months with our nasty winter, but other than being sort of dusty, it looks pretty good. When the temps are warm enough to open the windows I try to broom down the walls and blow the dust off the window mullions. Otherwise, it waits for Spring Cleaning Time.

Now, don't ask to see the layer of dust on top of my rafters....

I love all of these picture threads! My husband is going to build me a coop soon and these pictures are all so helpful!!
