wood&feathers :
I would encourage you to try her at a county fair. Her lacing is lovely, even though her type is lacking. At our fair often conditioning counts for more than type.I have seen people bring birds that might have been well bred, but I would be EMBARRASSED to admit were mine - ragged broken feathers from overcrowding, filthy, horribly cared for beaks and feet... Your girl looks like she is at least happy and healthy, and if you have kids and entered her at our fair she would bring home some ribbons. Especially if the kids know something about Wyandottes and how to take care of biddies and adult chickens.
Also keep in mind that if a fair/show goes by the standard then a bird that lacks in breed characteristics can be DQ'ed.
I will also add that yes Condition and Vigor is 10 points on a score card but there is a total of 90 point that a correct, good quality bird with bad conditioning can make up on.
I have yet seen a good conditioned poor quality fowl win over a badly conditioned good quality fowl. [with out DQ's]
