Hi I have a Pygmy Goat herd of three does and two billies. My first kid born is a doe from my first goat pair, Bonnie and Clyde, and I sell the rest of my kids. The two older does are profitable (I breed them and sell their kids to good homes and sell milk to the farmers market so they pay their dues), but the baby doe doesn't need to be bred by her daddy, but I can't castrate either of my billies because they are breeders. I don't have a big enough backyard to house AND separate them, though they do have plenty of living space together. So I was wondering would I be able to spay my baby girl? I don't want her separated from her mamma either so just separating her isn't an option. So what are ways I can keep her from being bred?(spaying, I've heard something about a shot, etc)
