I got a dozen eggs today from Lucky Pickens Farm. It is in the high 40s right now. Can I stick them under my hens right away, or do I need to let them sit for a while?

I would let them sit for a good 12 to 24 hours so the air cell can get back into place.

do u know how successful shipped eggs hatch compared to layed ones under the hen

I got 6 six shipped eggs, and bearing in mind I'm in the UK and the eggs came from just a few miles away, only one hatched. two were non starters and three were scrambled. was quite disappointed. I had little choice as I have no transport and am almost housebound here.
