Can I take eggs to hatch them?

That’s going to be hard for me to even get a close look at one... they’re so wild where I live, you get within 100 feet of them and they fly away, or run, or whatever. I’ve been looking for nests, but I’m not too sure where to look and I don’t want to get skunked

Then your best bet is to find someone locally who will sell you a few eggs. Do not waste your money on shipped eggs unless you can accept a 10% hatch rate. It is always better to buy started chicks and the older the better. Peas are not as easy to hatch and grow out as chickens and there will be more losses involved with peas.
