The last 3 I think will be on Monday I think. I stuck eggs under my silkie girl after she had been sitting. I didn’t realize that I shouldn’t do that.

I just checked and both chicks have the silkie toes so they are probably both purebreds. The silkie hen that is sitting on the eggs is a smaller girl so I’m thinking the second one is probably hers. Or maybe they both are. They both have their daddy’s color so far.


Edited to add that I checked my original post and Cotton had been sitting on 3 then I added 2 more. So another should hatch tonight or tomorrow .

Chick #3 is here ! I took it and it hatched in my daughters hands. This one for sure has to be the silkie d’uccle mix. It has black skin and silkie toes but it’s feathers are different colors. It will be interesting to see what it looks like when it dries.
