can i take them out?PLEASE HELP!!

Maybe you might want to increase the humidity by adding more hot water and build up the humidity level. This way when you open the incubator the humidity will drop in level but not too much and much quicker to regain it. You will have to do this quickly though. Good luck.

Luvduck, Thats kinda what I believe also! Personally I believe; Try it!!! If it works, do it again! If it don't work; Don't do it again! LOL Everytime I tell the ol' timers how I am caring for my eggs or chicks they all laugh. They tell me how they used to do it. A box, a lamp, and a spray bottle or wet rag! Thats it!! LOL

Good Luck and God Bless!

Thank you! I just feel really bad for beginners trying to do everything perfectly. Some worry and fret (I did) waiting for what seems like a Looong time and sometimes no matter what you do it can lead to disappointment. I was discussing humidity with another Colorado person because we are wondering how these little chicks are hatching here. The humidity in our barn mostly reads LOW. I know the hen has something to do with it but still makes you wonder. I am so bad and do not reccommend others do it but I pick the eggs up to hear picking away in there and they still hatch.

There are so many variables. We are at 7000 ft altitude so hatching shipped eggs is still a challenge for me. Another CO person told me she had a heck of a time with this also but now she has it down and has great success with shipped eggs. I want to try again because there are so many eggs for sale on here that I would love to hatch. Really do not want to waste the money if I cannot get them to hatch though. One of my first hatches were Call Ducks. Not real successful but I did get 1 to hatch. I had NO idea about altitude and shipped eggs, I just wanted Call ducks. We call him my $50.00 duck. Had 1 out of 8 hatch. Oh well.

Happy Hatching Everyone!
