I have five chickens which have abandoned their individual coop (and I understand why) for my back porch. Three really large Lavender Orpington pullets and two bantam Cochin cockerels all pack themselves onto a shelf on a planter in the corner of the porch. In the past couple of days, a frizzled Cochin pullet and a SF cockerel - BFFs - have plunked themselves down into a railing planter box on another side of the porch.

It's one reason I am having a nice, large coop built, with plenty of roost space, even for the 3 Large Ladies.
