Can I turn a shed into a coop?

Hi all,

I am planning to get chickens this spring. I am on a really tight budget so I am thinking about turning a old shed I have into a coop. What do you think? I will try to get a picture later so you can see it.

Yes, pics please. Basically almost any building can be turned into a coop, with proper modifications. Sheds are usually a very good starting point. Yay, another chicken convert! Soon, we'll rule the world! Nope, no enablers here.

Mesh is the most costly material, other stuff you might be able to scavenge,
better start finding and saving it up now.

Remember...What came first the chicken or the egg? ..The Coop!!
Best to have coop done well before you get chicks,
they grow fast and building the coop will take longer than you think.

The dog run and solar door were each about $100.
