Can I use Beach Sand for my Quails' Sand Bath?

Hi, is it ok for me to use beach Sand (specifically sand from Coogee Beach, NSW Australia) For my quails dust bath? It would be the sand without rocks. Coogee sand is very smooth and has minimal rocks. If not I can easily buy some online.

I usually recommend cheap construction sand, but the beach sand will probably be okay as long as it isn't inclined to clump and you rinse it thoroughly to reduce the salt in it.

Be careful working with construction sand. It’s a safety hazard for humans (and birds). It has silica dust, which is why it’s usually only used to build. Play sand is dust free, and safe to work with.
