can I use cedar sawdust to mulch with in the garden?

I don't see why not! Cedar is great at keeping some bugs at bay, too. As long as the cedar was untreated, and it was solid wood, not particle board (in which case it would have a lot of glue that might be bad for the soil)

Sawdust works great as a mulch for acid-loving plants like blueberries. I replace it every year and it keeps it fresh plus the golden contrast looks nice in my garden ;) This place sells bagged sawdust and it's all organic so it won't be harmful to your evergreens https://www.simplesawdust.com

i read somewhere that you are supposed to put wood chips, sawdust somewhere else and water it so something will leash out, then youcan put it in your garden. anyone else hear of that ?
