I'm hatching a few eggs after Christmas and I was doing some research about raising baby chicks, and a lot of sites where saying the only bedding you can give them is large wood shavings or pine shavings? but they never said anything about milled straw, so could I used milled straw as chick bedding?

I wouldn't I heard straw can get moldy and is to Dusty for the chicks I would use shavings or rice hulls or corncob bedding

NATURAL MILLED STRAW - £4.25 per bale
Wheat Straw undergoes a rigorousmilling process, which enhances its absorbency. All straw is passed through an extraction unit which leaves it virtually dust free. Our equine bedding products are treated with Eucalyptus which creates a pleasant fragrance in your stable and deters horses from eating their bed.

I use straw/hay as bedding in my coops and brooders because its much cheaper (around here) than the alternatives. I've never had a mold problem, but all of the housing they're used in are dry and cleaned often.
